The UCI requires a thickness of 25mm and does not allow any profiles slimmer than 1:3. By using a 75mm wing profile, on the limits of what is permitted, the various elements blend together into a perfectly aerodynamic whole.
aero hinge
A hinge instead of a head tube: the handlebar stem creates an aerodynamic front end and is no longer taken through the ball bearing, so the ball bearing is much smaller and the whole head becomes an integrated unit. The patented Aero Hinge offers virtually no air resistance.
ultralight monocoque
Thanks to the radical monocoque design and an uncompromising mould construction, we can adapt any frame cross-section optimally to the local loading. The result is one of the lightest time-trial bikes in the world.

In addition to stiffening the bottom bracket the downfin also impacts extremely aerodynamically towards the rear wheel.
